PLANNING UNIT

  1. Provide development of public parks in the City based on high standards and ensure the e quality of current pitches

  2. Provide suitable landscaping development which is also cost effective.

  3. Public complaints will be responded to within 3 days.

 

ASSESSMENT AND ASSET MANAGEMENT UNIT

  1. All property will be subject to the enforcement of the Evaluation List within six (6) months.

  2. All applications for claims/remission of rates to be decided upon within two (2) months.

  3. All applications for exclusion from assessment tax to be decided upon within two (2) months

  4. All applications for change of ownership to be decided upon within two (2) months

  5. All search requests and queries on assessment tax payments to be replied to upon within seven (7) days.

  6. All requests for corrections on the evaluation list to be decided upon within seven (7) days.

  7. Applications for the rental of Council property to be decided upon within one (1) month.

  8. Certify and validate the issuance of Certificates for the Fitness of Occupancy of Buildings for the OSC and Building Departments to be decided upon within seven (7) days from accepting a memo from the OSC and Building Departments

  9. Reviews/technical views to be submitted in fourteen (14) days.

  10. Prepare payment vouchers to be submitted to the Finance Unit within seven (7) days from accepting an invoice

  11. Complaints received will be acted upon two (2) days and a reply to be delivered within seven (7) days.

  12. Prepare reports on the collection of quit rent every month.

  13. Submit reports on the collection of quit rent once a month

  14. Issue an E Notice to the errant property owner who fails to make repayments as scheduled, every six (6) months.
